Former U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command Leader Appointed Strategic Advisor at Edge Case
Edge Case, the trusted technical partner for teams building and operating frontier technology and safety-critical systems, is proud to announce that Major General (Ret.) Jay Gallivan has joined the company as a Strategic Advisor.
Jay recently retired after 32 years of distinguished service in the U.S. Army. His final assignment was as Commanding General of the U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) where he led developmental and operational testing for future-force capabilities. Prior to that, he served as Chief of Staff at Army Futures Command, supporting perpetual modernization effort across the force. His leadership was key to transforming the Army’s approach to testing and learning about new material and software solutions to buy-down risk to the acquisition process and deliver effective capabilities to the force.
As Edge Case enters a new phase of growth, momentum is building across both commercial and defense markets. The company is actively shaping how teams approach DevSafeOps, integrating safety assurance throughout the product lifecycle from development through deployment and operations. Jay’s leadership in the operational and strategic domains, coupled with his test and evaluation experience, fit perfectly with Edge Case’s vision for building trust into frontier technologies from day one.
“I am honored to join the Edge Case team as they partner with the very best companies and organizations to safely design, build, and employ frontier technologies and sophisticated systems at the speed of need.” - MG (Ret) Jay Gallivan
